Race Against Dementia

25 April 2019

Silverstone Classic are partnering with Alzheimer's Research UK to raise awareness of dementia at a special event in July.

This summer's classic event will take place from Friday 26 July to Sunday 28 July with all proceeds going to Race Against Dementia Fellowships - an organisation administered by Alzheimer’s Research UK. Founded by legendary racer, Sir Jackie Stewart, the fellowship was set up to help early career scientists with their research and desire to find innovative solutions for dementia.

Circuit2Circuit were delighted to be called upon to help out in the lead up to the event. As you'd expect, it's vitally important that one of Stewart's legendary cars is on display at the event, and there's only one way to ensure it arrives on time and in perfect condition! This required our team of expert car movers to ensure the vehicle left its home and arrived at Silverstone in plenty of time for the July event. You can see some photos of the job, below.

While there, we witnessed Sir Jackie Stewart's son, Paul, explain a little more about the charity and forthcoming event in a TV interview. It's hard to overstate what these guys do for such an important cause, and we're honoured to be able to play even a small part in the process.
